About Us
Don't you love the designs? We do too! We went head over "peels" for this idea. Silly Spud Tees, LLC was founded by two friends, Caryn Brookman and Bethany Ziolkowski. Since we are Moms (three kids under the age of 5), we loved the idea of creating SILLY, playful hand-printed shirts for our little ones. We were tired of the same old mass-produced products you see at the big retail stores. Our prints are fun, colorful designs inspired by our children and their friends.
Our products are unique because each one is hand-stamped by one of us using hand-carved potatoes. Each potato stamp is painted with permanent fabric dye which is then applied to the shirt, bib or burb cloth. The designs are heat set so the colors won't wash out! The fabric dye withstands stain removers (believe us, we have tested!) so wash as normal. We don't recommend machine washing our canvas bags due to the embellishments. The colors may soften after a few washes, but they will still look adorable! Our shirts are manufactured by American Apparel, a "sweatshop free" apparel company based in the United States. Our bibs are manufactured by Royal Apparel which is also based in the United States.
